A password is required to access the AutoCheck.com site. Please click here to request a new password. To request a new password, you will be asked to submit your e-mail address. Instructions on how to reset an existing password or request a new password will be sent to your e-mail address.
How do I receive my vehicle history report?
Immediately after purchasing your vehicle history report, you can view your vehicle history report online. If you purchased a report without a VIN, you can enter a VIN after your credit card transaction is complete. If you need to leave the site without running a report, you can always come back later during your subscription period to run the report(s) you purchased. Immediately upon running a vehicle report on AutoCheck, an HTML version will be sent to you via e-mail.
How do I log back into AutoCheck as a returning user?
The "Log In" link is always accessible in the upper-right corner of the site. (If you are logged in, the link will read "Logout.") Click "Log In" and enter your e-mail address on the Login page. Use the same e-mail address you used when you purchased your AutoCheck package. Then click the green "Log In" button. AutoCheck does not ask for a password.
I bought the Unlimited product but the system is telling me I can't run any more reports. How do I get my account reactivated?
AutoCheck will temporarily turn off your account after running a certain number of reports in order to verify with you that the reports are not being used for commercial purposes. If you need your account to be turned back on,please send a message via our customer service webform and let our team know that you need your account reactivated. We will process your request as soon as we can.

Can I buy a report if I don't know the vehicle's VIN?
Yes! You can always purchase vehicle history reports from AutoCheck even if you don't know the VIN at the time of purchase.You can always come back and run your vehicle history report later when you have the VIN. To purchase a report without a VIN, simply choose a report and complete our purchase form.
Can I view a sample report?

What does the information in my AutoCheck vehicle history report mean?
We recommend taking a look at some of our sample vehicle history reports. Each section is broken down for you in detail, with explanations on what the symbols mean and how to interpret some of the language used on the report. Please visit our main Sample Reports page for more information.
What type of information does AutoCheck provide?
AutoCheck provides information about the vehicle's title, registration and usage history. Each report displays the results of our comprehensive search for salvage or junk vehicles; damage from hail, flood or fire; mileage discrepancies or odometer rollback; and gray market vehicles. AutoCheck also looks for lemon vehicles; vehicles designated as rentals, taxis or fleet usage; abandoned or forfeited vehicles; records of theft; and loan/liens that represent ownership interests or unpaid judgments. AutoCheck reports on accident damage when that information is provided to it. AutoCheck does NOT provide the names of or information pertaining to a vehicle's previous owner(s). AutoCheck may not provide information on every accident in which a vehicle may have been involved.
What is AutoCheck Score?
The AutoCheck Score is rated on a scale of 1 to 100, where a higher score equals less risk. Also included in the Score is the Score Range, which will tell you how the vehicle compares to other similar vehicles. The Score is based on many factors, including the vehicle's age, mileage and number of owners. For more information on what the Score means and how it is calculated, visit the AutoCheck Score page.
Where does AutoCheck's history information come from?
Information provided in an AutoCheck vehicle history report comes from hundreds of data sources. These include: state departments of motor vehicles (DMVs), auto auctions, Canadian motor vehicle departments, consumer protection agencies, auto dealers and other state agencies. All data acquired from these sources meet either the federally mandated Drivers Privacy Protection Act (DPPA) and/or other industry guidelines.
What does "no history found" indicate?
"No Records Found" indicates that AutoCheck found no information in that category at that particular point in time. This could mean that we have not yet received that data or it could be an indication of a problem-free condition. Vehicles that most often show up as "No Records Found" are newer, so we may not yet have received any information for that vehicle.
My vehicle was manufactured for non-US or Canadian markets. Can I get a report for it?
No. AutoCheck only reports on vehicles manufactured for U.S. or Canadian markets.
Can I get a report for my heavy duty truck? (or motor home, motorcycle, snowmobile)
No. AutoCheck only reports on information for cars and light trucks.
How do I contact Customer Service?
You may contact Customer Service via our web form. If you need help regarding a specific report you've ordered from AutoCheck, please be sure to include your VIN, Transaction ID and Order ID.
